Aikens sails into St Katharine Docks
October 31, 2013
Toms Kitchen – the restaurant brand created by high end chef Tom Aikens – is to open its latest operation at St Katharine Docks after Max Property secured the letting.
This letting is part of Max Propertys transformation of central Londons only marina and the buildings surrounding it to create a food and drink-led leisure destination. The company is investing more than £30m on the makeover – which is managed by Prestbury Investments – to provide more weekend and evening trade for both Londoners and visitors alike as well as a far more attractive environment for St Katharine Docks workforce and residents.
The chef opened his third Toms Kitchen site in Canary Wharf earlier this summer (2013).
Josh Leon, Associate Director at Davis Coffer Lyons said: Having successfully secured Cote earlier this year we are delighted that Toms Kitchen has also joined the line up at St Katharine Docks. The letting involved obtaining a new A3 consent and set a new headline rent for the area. We are now in discussions with some of Londons most highly-regarded operators and brands that are interested in taking space at the development.
St Katharine Docks currently comprises 260 flats (nearly 1,000 residents), 650,000 sq ft of offices and 50,000 sq ft of restaurants and shops and an 800 bed hotel.
