Cipriani Dances to a New Beat in Mayfair

January 28, 2011

International restaurateur Giuseppe Cipriani and entrepreneur Livio Bisterzo are to join forces to open a private late license lounge on the site of former Rififi Club in Mayfair in March this year.

The venue, on Hay Hill off Berkeley Square, will become a private lounge with a 3am licence, and aims to attract the top-end London market through an integrated bar and club venue.

Cipriani and Bisterzo have taken the assignment of the lease at a substantial premium, which has 13 years remaining. The unit comprises approximately 1,500 sq ft over ground floor and basement.

Jonathan Moradoff of Davis Coffer Lyons which acted on behalf of John Obertelli of Rififi, said: “This was a very rare off-market opportunity in one of London’s most sought after locations. We are inundated with interest in key venues in Central London locations, with very limited late night opportunities and the ability to achieve substantial premiums.”
