April 22, 2012

Davis Coffer Lyons’ Pubs team has acquired the Rose in Fulham on behalf of Moonshine Bars, from Hugh Corbett, the owner of Larrik Inns and founder of the Slug & Lettuce chain.

Located off the King’s Road, the property includes a main bar, function room, beer garden and six bedrooms. The tied lease was assigned under the terms of a 20 year lease from January 2009, at a passing rent of £68,225 per annum.

Moonshine, led by former Puzzle Pub Company owners Tom and Robbie Gill, plans a refurbishment of the Rose before relaunching the site later this year, is keen to secure further opportunities in London to open similar bar and restaurant units.

Moonshine also owns the Loose Box on Horseferry Road near Victoria which it acquired through Davis Coffer Lyons is 2010, and the Elephant on the Hill in Battersea.

Davis Coffer Lyons advised Moonshine. AG&G acted on behalf of the outgoing tenant.
