DCL Brings Eat to More London

June 27, 2011

Sandwich shop chain, EAT has taken another London site at South Bank office district More London through leisure adviser Davis Coffer Lyons. The company now has 100 stores in London alone, as well as 25 in cities around the UK.

More London is home to the iconic City Hall as well as headquarters offices for a number of legal and financial firms. The Foster & Partners designed scheme, located between London Bridge and Tower Bridge, also incorporates a 245-bed Hilton Hotel, the Unicorn Children’s theatre and an open-air landscaped performance space, The Scoop.

EAT has taken the former Café Amore unit in 6 More London Place on a new lease. It joins Itsu, Pod, Pret a Manger and Spianata & Co, which recently opened within PwC’s new headquarters building, as well as restaurants such as Strada, Dim T and Gaucho Grill. EAT has said it will continue to aggressively expand its portfolio on high streets to take it to 200 over the next four years and has recently been bought by Lyceum Capital.

Kate Taylor, Davis Coffer Lyons, who acted on behalf of the landlord, said: “F&B accommodation at More London is highly sought-after, due to a potent mix that includes a high concentration of workers on site and an audience of leisure visitors to the surrounding area; there was extremely high demand for this unit.”
