DCL Completes HatTrick of Deals on Bellevue Road in Wandsworth

January 10, 2012

Davis Coffer Lyons’ Agency team has completed a deal at the former Piccolino’s restaurant on Bellevue Road, London SW17. The surrender and re-grant of the lease was secured to Sainsbury’s Plc for the unit located close to Wandsworth Common, for a passing rent of £90,000.

DCL has now completed three deals on Bellevue Road in recent months; the road is well known as the home to the renowned Chez Bruce restaurant.

Rob Meadows, Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “Sainsbury’s will drive trade through this part of the borough and will have a significant impact in helping it to realise its potential within the area. In recent months, Bellevue Road has moved from a vacant and poor offer to a more flourishing suburban hub. Whilst it has all the hallmarks of a more established retail and leisure suburban pitch – affluence, attractiveness, proximity to station and plenty of housing, Bellevue Road was previously an over-rented parade which is now more in line with its real rental market value”

DCL has also recently acquired The Bowler pub on Bellevue Road for Gareth Lloyd-Jones, multiple pub operator and owner of two very successful neighbourhood pubs in London, The Canonbury and The Spencer. In late 2011, the Agency team has also advised Cafe Du Village on the assignment of its lease to The Good Earth Group, the high-quality Chinese food chain which has opened its seventh site at the premises.
