DCL Secure Second Site for Spanish Barrica in Soho

October 28, 2011

Spanish restaurant Barrica has launched its second Central London site with a new tapas bar on Soho’s D’Arblay Street, W1. The new restaurant, Copita, is an authentic tapas offering taking its inspiration from La Cuchara de San Telmo in San Sebastian, with stools and standing space only and no bookings taken.

Davis Coffer Lyons’ Jonathan Moradoff acted on behalf of the former tenant for the site, Bar Chocolate. A ten year lease from August 2007 was assigned for ground floor and basement premises at a passing rent of £55,000 per annum.

Barrica was the winner of the 2010 Time Out award for Best Spanish Restaurant. The premise for the new site is quick service all day including breakfast, lunch and dinner and the regularly changing menu will feature 15-20 tapas as well as a range of authentic Spanish wines and liquors.
