F&B Line-Up Unveiled at New Westgate Oxford Shopping Centre

October 24, 2017

Advising the Westgate Oxford Alliance, a joint venture between landlords The Crown Estate and Land Sec, Davis Coffer Lyons’ Development and London Estates Leasing team has unveiled the F&B line-up of 25 restaurants, bars and eateries at the new Westgate Oxford Shopping Centre.

The £440 million 800,000 sq ft Westgate Oxford development, which launches today, will include the city’s first public roof garden, designed around a kitchen garden concept. Here customers will find a series of unique outdoor spaces for 12 bars and restaurants affording arresting panoramic rooftop views of the Oxford city skyline and the countryside.  Restaurant and bar brands including Cinnamon Kitchen, Sticks n Sushi, Pizza Pilgrims, Dirty Bones, Pho, The Breakfast Club, The Alchemist and Nando’s will sit alongside a grass ‘quad’, and boutique cinema chain Curzon Cinemas. Victor’s from Hale, which offers international cuisine in an East Coast American format will also join the rooftop line-up.

One of the most eagerly anticipated parts of the scheme is Westgate Social, a unique food and leisure restaurant experience. It is anchored by Junkyard Golf, the scrapyard themed mini-golf for those who love quirky props, neon lights and cocktails. It will include operators including Shawa Lebanese Grill from Comptoir Libanais, Ned’s Noodle Bar, Indian street food concept Rola Wala, Tommi’s Burger Joint, Mexican brand Benito’s Hat  and Bonnie Gull’s ‘chippy’ side-kick spin-off Salt n Sauce.

Other restaurant brands elsewhere at the scheme include ramen concept Shoryu, Le Pain Quotidien, Comptoir Libanais and Pret. Kiosks will also be provided by Grand Caffé Concerto in the open square, as well as Boost, Shake Lab, Crepe O Mania and Krispy Kreme.

In total, Westgate Oxford will be home to more than 100 new stores, 25 restaurants and cafes, a cinema, and a wealth of new public spaces.

Kate Taylor, Director at Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “In keeping with the overall vision from the Westgate Oxford Alliance, for the whole centre, our inspiration and aim for the food and beverage offer has been to lead the charge for the next generation of retail-dining destinations. We have achieved this by bringing Oxford an exclusive dining line-up – with many brands having chosen the scheme as their first outpost outside of London – within a very unique setting. We know that consumers have undergone rapidly changing lifestyle habits, and that their dining and leisure choices must comprise high quality and diverse experiences. We’re incredibly excited to have secured these brands and look forward to making further exciting announcements soon.”
