Fulham’s in Fashion for New Operators

Davis Coffer Lyons’ Pub team has assigned the leasehold interest of late night pub, So Bar in Fulham to Apollo Bar Limited, owners of the Sugar Cane bar in Clapham Junction, on behalf of The Bar Management Company Ltd.

So Bar, in the affluent South West London borough of Fulham and close to Chelsea Football Ground on Fulham Road, was purchased for £150,000 in addition to a passing rent of £65,000 per annum on the remainder of a 21 year lease from 31 October 2002 with Punch Taverns.

The property is three-storeys, comprising open plan ground floor bar with private function room and a bar on the first floor.

This is the third deal DCL has secured in Fulham this quarter, following the announcement that high-end, Italian concept from Saint Tropez, ‘Blummyz’ will be opening its first UK premises at the former ‘Friends’ on Hollywood Road in Chelsea. The adviser has also recently secured a new lease for the Brazilian Grill Rodizo Rico at the former La Tasca off Fulham Broadway.

Paul Tallentyre, Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “Fulham is awash exciting new restaurant operators and bar concepts wanting premises in the area, which have given the market a real boost in one of London’s most affluent areas. There is also investment and redevelopment coming in to the area which will further improve the range and quality of leisure venues and retail on offer in this part of the capital.”
