Funky Brownz Acquires Third London Site

February 8, 2011

Late licence pub venue, The Spanish Arch, has been sold by leisure agents Davis Coffer Lyons to expanding operators Funky Brownz in off-market deal for an undisclosed sum.

The 5,000 sq ft public house, located on Belmont Circle near Harrow, was sold on the instructions of Finbar Holian, who had owned the premises for 13 years. The purchasers, already operating two club-bar/restaurants with Indian cuisine and shisha lounge in West Hendon and Hornsey, plan to engage in a full refurbishment of the premises with branding synonymous to that of its other sites.

The Spanish Arch has two distinct trading areas, and also boasts a rear beer garden and car park for 22 spaces to the front, and staff and manager’s accommodation. The business is predominantly wet-led and hosts regular live music and sports events.

Chris Bickle of Davis Coffer Lyons says: “Funky Brownz is an ideal operator for this site. The business already has a varied customer base as both a destination venue and popular local venue. Funky Brownz has an in depth understanding of the local demographic and are planning a fantastic internal fit out”.
