Henry Davidson Appoints Davis Coffer Lyons for East Gate, Llanelli’s Leisure Quarter

July 13, 2011

Leisure specialist Davis Coffer Lyons has been instructed as joint agents with E J Hales by Henry Davidson Developments for a new £20m leisure scheme, East Gate, in Llanelli, South Wales.

Davis Coffer Lyons’ Development Leasing team will begin marketing the scheme’s ‘leisure quarter’ in September , which includes a six-screen multiplex cinema, pre-let to Reel Cinemas, 53-bed Travelodge Hotel, and 21,000 sq ft office accommodation. It sits adjacent to the new 550 seat regional theatre being developed by the Council. Five restaurant/bar units are available to complement 10,000 sq ft of retail plus coffee bars. The scheme will be ready for handover September 2012.

Henry Davidson is working alongside Carmarthenshire County Council to provide a total of 110,000 sq ft space of retail and leisure space and will include a new bus interchange.

Tracey Mills, Director of Development Leasing at DCL, said: “Llanelli is very deserving of worthwhile investment and this new scheme will provide a welcome boost for the community, both socially and in terms of tourism. The leisure scheme will compliment Park Trostre, the exceptionally popular retail scheme in Llanelli which is under-catered in terms of food offerings with no night time driver. There is a bias towards family-entertainment at the scheme with the cinema, theatre and restaurants creating a significant critical mass of leisure for Carmarthenshire.”
