Iconic Berkshire Restaurant on the Market

September 11, 2013

Long established and hugely popular Berkshire restaurant Tummies is up for sale after its owners, Claude and Tammy Mariaux, appointed Davis Coffer Lyons to find a buyer.

The business, founded in 1988, is situated in an affluent residential area of Berkshire – between Slough and Maidenhead – and boasts a strong catchment of both wealthy suburbs and rural villages.

Since its inception the business has evolved and expanded. It now occupies over 3,200 sq ft and boasts a newly refurbished bar area; large outdoor terrace; private dining rooms; Deli serving a selection of fresh salads and sandwiches and an events company alongside the highly regarded restaurant. There is huge demand for outside catering from the business which is frequently turned down due to time constraints.

Jack Silvani of Coffer Corporate Leisure said: “Over the past 25 years the founders the Mariauxs have built up a highly profitable business, which is now something of a local institution and very popular with both local people and businesses alike. We are delighted to have been appointed to market this incredibly exciting opportunity. With so many facets to the business we have no doubt that we will receive a huge amount of interest from a range of potential buyers. We believe the events catering arm of the company offers fantastic potential to further expand and grow the business.”
