Land Securities and the Crown Estate turn to DCL for Westgate

November 13, 2013

The Westgate Alliance – the joint venture between Land Securities and the Crown Estate – has appointed DCL to lease the food and beverage element of its redevelopment of the Westgate Centre in Oxford.

The 800,000 sq ft city centre development – which will be anchored by John Lewis – will introduce more than 100 retailers and restaurateurs to the city, and will include a luxury cinema and a spectacular rooftop dining experience with views over the city. The scheme is due for completion in autumn 2017.

Tracey Mills, Director at Davis Coffer Lyons said: “We are delighted to be working on this important scheme. Oxford is a key city for operators taking their first steps outside London, and yet is undercatered for in dining terms, given its diverse audience, which includes a high proportion of affluent, well-travelled and discerning customers. Westgate is looking to redress that, with a truly exciting eating and drinking line-up in an exceptional environment.”
