New to Market: The Norfolk Arms, Arundel

October 27, 2016

On behalf of the private landlord, Davis Coffer Lyons has been instructed to sell The Norfolk Arms hotel, a substantial character Grade II* Listed coaching inn in the historic town of Arundel, West Sussex. The asking price is £1.5 million.

The property comprises 33 en-suite letting bedrooms, two bars, two restaurants, and a range of conference and function rooms, external trade areas and parking. It sits prominently on the high street in the centre of Arundel, under the battlements of Arundel Castle.

Keith Goodwin, Associate Director, Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “Arundel is steeped in history and today it is a popular tourist destination famous for its castle, monthly farmers markets and impressive cathedral. The property has recently undergone refurbishment with the majority of the bedrooms and front of house areas having been modernised.

“We believe there is scope for an experienced owner/operator to invest further in this property and business and significantly improve upon the existing trade.  Planning consent is in place for a new fully glazed entrance lobby within the ground floor archway and to create an additional four en-suite letting rooms.”
