Salt Yard Group to Open New Concept on Berwick Street

July 26, 2013

Berwick Street in Soho is to become home to another exciting new eatery after DCL – the leisure specialists – secured Salt Yard Group to open a new 90-cover restaurant. This letting follows hot-on-the- heels of the announcement that DCL had effected a letting for Polpetto to reopen on the same street.

The new restaurant is inspired by rural Basque and Italian smoking and charcoal grilling methods. The menu will boast an array of dishes that have been created using modern takes on traditional techniques including smoked oysters, lardo and chilli; Bistecca Fiorentina to share and Whole Iberico pork rack with chestnut honey. It will open in November (2013).

Kate Taylor, Associate Director at DCL said: “Berwick Street is going from strength to strength for dining, set as it is to host two of the autumn’s hottest restaurant openings. Salt Yard Group is arguably the best in the market for Spanish and Italian small plate cuisine. This new twist – incorporating Italian smoking techniques – is very exciting and we have no doubt will be just as successful as its other restaurants. ”

Salt Yard Group was established in 2005 and also operates the Opera Tavern, Salt Yard and Dehesa.
