Simmons Cocktail Chain Comes to Camden

December 8, 2016

Davis Coffer Lyons has assigned the leasehold interest of 7-9 Kentish Town Road – previously trading as Havana BBQ & Bar – to London cocktail bar operator Simmons Bars.

This will be the 10th Central London site for Simmons Bars, which is privately funded by Nick Campbell. Campbell already trades the group in nearby Mornington Crescent, and Kings Cross, as well as Fitzrovia, Soho, Fulham, Liverpool Street, and Tower Bridge, with another site opening in Temple. It also has a sister site in Chelsea.

The Kentish Town outpost is located very close to Camden Town station, trading over 2,000 sq ft at ground floor and basement. A new 15 year lease was agreed at a rent of £125,000 per annum exclusive.

Acting on behalf of the landlord, St Charles Property, Jonathan Moradoff, Director, Davis Coffer Lyons, said, “The location has excellent footfall from its vibrant tourist, commercial and residential catchment. The Simmons group has adopted a fantastic business model that has been expanding at an impressive rate, so I’ve no doubt they will make a great success of their newest venture in Camden.”
