Snow + Rock Group Takes Site of Coalition Bar in Fulham

February 9, 2012

Snow + Rock Group’s rapidly expanding bicycle store, Cycle Surgery, has completed on a new lease at 658-660 Fulham Road in South West London through leisure agents, Davis Coffer Lyons.

The A3 licensed venue which formerly traded as Coalition and VIP Rooms and was previously The Leopard Lounge bar and nightclub, will be a dual concept retail store with sister company, Runners Need.

The premises comprise two ground floor units and three basement units totalling 3,314 sq ft. Cycle Surgery have secured around 3,000sqft on a new FRI lease for a period of 10 years. The tenants have made various structural changes to the interior and fully redesigned the interior and frontage. The acquisition takes the number of London stores to 16 with further nationwide. The store opens this month (February 2012).

Chris Bickle, Associate Director at Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “This Fulham Road venue has been home to a number of well known wine bars and restaurants over many years. Whilst there was a considerable amount of interest in the unit from a variety of licensed operators, the vision presented by Snow + Rock Group was aligned with our that of our client. Cycling in London for commute and fitness is increasingly popular and this concept will provide a welcome addition to Fulham.”

Snow + Rock Group was acquired by the management team in September 2010 in a buy-out backed by LGV Capital, a leading mid-market private equity house with a strong track record in consumer brands. Since then, the Group has continued to rollout multi-brand stores in the UK.

Davis Coffer Lyons acted for the private landlord. Claud Waterer acted for Cycle Surgery.
