Tsuru Sushi to Launch New Tonkotsu Ramen Concept in Soho

May 7, 2012

Tsuru Sushi, the three-strong London-based restaurant chain, is to open a new concept, Tonkotsu Bar & Ramen, at 63 Dean Street at the former Cafe Creperie site in Soho.

Tsuru, a sushi and katsu specialist headed by business partners Emma Reynolds and Ken Yamada, operates three sites in the City at Mansion House, Bishopsgate and Bankside. At Dean Street, a 20 year lease expiring July 2031 has been assigned, relating to the ground, basement and first floors at a passing rent of £70,000 per annum exclusive.

Rob Meadows, Davis Coffer Lyons, said, “The Streets running North from Old Compton Street have proved excellent for the likes of Duck Soup, Arbutus, Barrafina, and numerous others; crucially Dean Street will also be one of the exits of the new CrossRail Underground Line. This is an exceptional Soho location which is in high demand. We are also finding that entrepreneurial operators are now really capitalising on Pop Up’s pre launching permanent restaurants.”

Davis Coffer Lyons advised Cafe Creperie.
