November 5, 2013
YO! Sushi and wagamama are the latest restaurants to join the line up at Whiteley Shopping after DCL – the leisure specialists – secured the lettings on behalf of the JV ownership, British Land and USS. These lettings complete the restaurant offer in phase one at the popular Hampshire scheme.
wagamama is currently onsite fitting out its unit ahead of a pre-Christmas opening while YO! Sushi will be opening in Spring 2014, They will join restaurants Deans Diner, Harvester, Frankie & Bennies, Prezzo and Chimichanga at the 320,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme.
DCL is currently working on letting phase two of the scheme ahead of its completion in May 2015. This will include a multi-screen cinema along with five restaurant units – four of which are already under offer.
Alice Keown, Associate Director at Davis Coffer Lyons commented: Whiteley Shopping continues to go from strength-to-strength. YO! Sushi and wagamama are fantastic brands which complement perfectly the other restaurants already trading successfully at the scheme. Phase two is proving to be incredibly popular and to have already got four of the units under offer shows the how much restaurant operators want to be part of the scheme. We hope to be able to announce more exciting names shortly.
DCL boasts a strong working relationship with British Land and is appointed on a number of its schemes around the UK including Meadowhall, Broadgate, Leadenhall Building, Regents Place and Whiteley.
