Chelsea to Welcome its First New Pub in Over 100 Years, as Three Cheers Pub Co. Announces Opening of The Trafalgar
September 15, 2025

This October, Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox of Three Cheers Pub Co. will open their tenth and most notable pub to date, The Trafalgar Public House in Chelsea.
The Grade II listed former bank at 224-226 Kings Road forms part of Cadogan’s landmark development The Gaumont; a new commercial and cultural anchor for the King’s Road. Three Cheers’ £2.4m investment has transformed the historic building, creating the first new public house on the iconic King’s Road in over 100 years.
Named after one of Britain’s most decisive victories, The Trafalgar is spread over two floors. The ground floor will be a stunning British pub serving excellent food and drink, whilst downstairs will be dedicated to live entertainment and private parties in keeping with King’s Road’s vibrant history.
The group’s portfolio includes The Bedford in Balham, The Bolingbroke in Battersea and The Abbeville in Clapham. Like a number of its existing operations – such as The Latchmere, with its Olivier-award-winning theatre- The Trafalgar is expected to become deeply rooted within the surrounding cultural community, aligning with the “creative cluster” curated within the 220,000 sq ft mixed use development The Gaumont.
‘We are delighted to be taking on this historic site and creating a wonderful new public house, a home from home for Chelsea locals and visitors alike,’ said Three Cheers Pub Co. owner Tom Peake. ‘We are proud to be a part of this exciting development and look forward to bringing a real sense of community and connection to the area that only a proper British pub can.’
Hugh Seaborn, Chief Executive of Cadogan added: ‘The Trafalgar will be a great addition to the King’s Road. Pubs are a central part of community life and we are proud to be reintroducing not just a brilliant pub, but one that will contribute towards Chelsea’s fantastic arts scene with unmissable music, theatre, comedy and performance. We know that it will be welcomed by locals and become a new destination for those visiting Chelsea.’
Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of landlord Cadogan to let the premises.
