Global Brand Dumpling Xi to Kickstart UK Expansion with Covent Garden Debut

Acting on behalf of Shaftesbury Capital, Davis Coffer Lyons has secured global brand Dumpling Xi, making its UK debut at 154 Shaftesbury Avenue in Covent Garden.
One of the world’s biggest dumpling restaurant brands, Dumpling Xi has grown to more than 800 locations across 40 Chinese cities since its 2002 launch, and is now growing internationally, having entered the United States, South Korea and Spain in the last two years. It specialises in traditional Chinese dumplings- a staple of Chinese culture, and a segment that is currently underrepresented in London’s culinary scene, hand-crafted on show in an open kitchen. Signature dishes include shrimp three delicacies dumplings and celery and pork soup dumplings.
Dumpling Xi is being brought to the UK by hospitality entrepreneurs Aaron Li and Xuerui Lyu. They have signed a new 15 year lease for the 2,500 sq ft debut site, which is due to open on 20th December, and which marks the start of ambitious growth plans; ten openings are planned across the UK in the next three years.
