Berberè, Yakiniku Like and Fano debut at Westfield Stratford City, the first of six new F&B signings

February 12, 2026

Italian sourdough pizza brand Berberè and Japanese BBQ restaurant Yakiniku Like have launched at Westfield Stratford City, the first of six new food and beverage signings that strengthen the centre’s reputation as one of London’s most vibrant, all-day leisure and retail destinations.

The restaurants occupy prime locations along ‘The Street’ as part of a strategic move to establish a more defined food and dining zone within the centre.  They will be joined in the coming weeks by a new flagship for British all-day casual dining brand, Bill’s – its largest opening in over a decade, as well as bakery GAIL’S and immersive dining and live music venue, Soul Mama.  The new signings significantly broaden the destination’s culinary offer, spanning early-morning coffee and light bites, through to casual dining, evening socialising, and immersive entertainment experiences.

Berberè has introduced its acclaimed Italian sourdough pizzas to East London for the first time, renowned for its slow-fermentation dough, seasonal ingredients, and relaxed social spaces.

Innovative Japanese BBQ concept Yakiniku Like is known for its affordable, interactive dining format, featuring individual smokeless grills designed to cater for both solo diners and groups.

Neighbouring Chestnut Plaza has welcomed Fano – a contemporary Italian restaurant inspired by tradition.  The signings are part of Unibai-Rodamco-Westfield’s ongoing strategy to enhance the customer journey and deliver new value across its centres. Consumer insights highlight a growing appetite for elevated, all-day dining experiences, with the Westfield Rise ‘How We Shop’ report revealing that 47% of UK consumers now actively seek more immersive, entertainment-led experiences in retail environments, emphasising the role of F&B in driving footfall and dwell time.

Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing, Northern Europe, at URW, said: “Westfield Stratford City continues to evolve as one of London’s leading destinations for F&B, retail and leisure, reflecting the diverse tastes of the local community. Food and beverage is no longer just an amenity – it drives footfall, dwell time and overall experience. This wave of signings reinforces Westfield Stratford City as a destination to eat, meet, and spend time, showcasing the strength of our strategy in attracting experience-led operators.”
