Pintxito to Join Newly Opened Courtyard Wine Cellars in The Market Courtyards, Covent Garden
July 2, 2025

Pintxito, an intimate 40 cover bar and a new concept from Hispanophile Richard Bigg, founder of Camino Group and Bar Rioja, is set to launch in Covent Garden Market’s Market Courtyards on 21st July.
Inspired by The Basque Country, widely regarded as the gastronomic heartland of Spain, Pintxito will serve pintxos – small, delicious bites of food found in bars across the region- alongside locally produced drinks. Blackboards will list a changing selection of 15 to 20 hot and ambient pintxos.
Camino Group Executive Chef Nacho Del Campo is delighted to be given an opportunity to showcase food from his native Basque Country and his launch menu will include the likes of classic Baby squid in squid ink and Anchovy Gildas to Crispy pig’s ears and King oyster mushrooms with piquillo and salsa verde. The concise, exclusively Basque drinks list will include white, rose and sparkling txacoli, Rioja Alavesa, beer, cider and gin.
Pintxito will be open daily from 11am until 11pm Mondays to Saturdays and 9pm Sundays. The opening comes hot on the heels of the launch of Courtyard Wine Cellars, which opened in The Market Courtyards in June, offering a curated selection of global wines alongside seasonal dishes. With over 1,000 wines from 100 regions across 10 countries, the collection caters to every palate, and also features a welcoming wine bar with private rooms available for hire.
Comprising a unique, covered al fresco dining destination in the heart of the historic Grade II Covent Garden Market Building, The Market Courtyards offer a curated selection of eating & drinking offers, surrounded by premium and destinational retailers, restaurants and specialist market traders.
Another exciting new entrant will be announced soon. Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of Shaftesbury Capital on the lettings.
