Family-Owned Independent Conexus Pub Group Signs Clerkenwell’s Queens Head

Family-owned pub group Conexus has acquired the lease of the Queen’s Head in Clerkenwell’s Easton Street, adding to its collection of 30 independent pubs across London and the Home Counties.
Led by respected industry figure Terry O’Sullivan, his business partner of 25 years Phil Osborn and his three daughters — Charlotte, Olivia and Chloe, Conexus Pub Group’s diverse portfolio ranges from community locals and vibrant late-night destinations to premium village gastropubs – each with their own character, but all bound by the same warm welcome, good company and great hospitality.
Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of the private landlord of the pub, which was previously let to Stonegate Group and operated by Pub Love, to agree a new free of tie lease for a period of 20 years, at a rent of £90,000 pax. DCL’s Pub Team Executive Director Paul Tallentyre commented “There is a real lack of quality free-of-tie opportunities in London, and the market for them is becoming increasingly competitive, as the rent we were able to achieve here reflects. We are actively seeking free-of-tie opportunities on behalf of a number of our pub clients.”
