Hong Kong restaurant brand continues expansion with new City concept

Hot on the heels of Hong Kong’s Hoper’s Base restaurant making its UK debut in Covent Garden this month, a further opening is announced for diffusion brand HONGrill, at 46 Gresham Street in the City of London.
A premium casual restaurant rooted in the everyday culinary heritage of Hong Kong, Hoper’s Base has relocated to the UK following 12 years trading in Hong Kong’s North Point.
Quick service diffusion brand HONGrill is a new concept that has been specifically designed for busy City professionals, focusing on speed and efficiency without compromising on authentic taste and quality. Its menu features Hong Kong classics such as signature Char Siu Rice and Char Siu Buns alongside modern fusion options designed for quick service.
HONGrill has taken a sub lease on the Gresham Street premises at a rent of £73,500 pax. The 2,370 sq ft restaurant is due to open in October.
