New Nursery Operator Little Navigators Takes Over Former Cote Site in Barnes

Hospitality and leisure property specialist Davis Coffer Lyons has secured Little Navigators Nursery as the new tenant of 21 Station Road, Barnes, which was formerly occupied by Cote.
The new nursery will make its debut in early 2027 in the 3,100 sq ft site – which overlooks Barnes Green, and benefits from external space – in the affluent South West London village.
Founded by Celine Stonex-Kennedy, a former nursery teacher and qualified play therapist, Little Navigators will offer full-day childcare for children aged 9 months to 5 years old, combining outstanding early education with a calm, nurturing approach that supports children’s emotional wellbeing and fosters a love of learning.
Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of the private landlord to let the site on a new lease. Associate Director Louie Gazdar commented “Given its compelling location and good configuration, the premises attracted interest from a range of uses. Landlords are increasingly considering alternative uses for former restaurant premises, particularly in neighbourhood locations where trade can be inconsistent, as ongoing cost pressures on the hospitality sector impact viability. We are advising a number of landlords on securing their assets through sustainable lease terms and changes of occupier and use”.
