Trampolines, go-karts and crazy golf fill the gaps left by department stores

The Telegraph asked Tracey Mills, Executive Director, London Estate Strategy at DCL, for her views on how landlords are looking to fill empty properties left behind from the collapse of large stores such as Debenhams and Top Shop.

Mills explained that “Property owners want to be a step ahead and are looking to fill empty spaces with everything from immersive theatre experiences to gaming and virtual reality events.”

“What the pandemic has brought forward is a recalibration of looking at things completely differently and having to make it viable if these spaces are going to be re-let,” she says….
