Cote Coins New Site in Hampstead

June 28, 2011

Davis Coffer Lyons has brokered an off market deal on the leasehold interest of Ping Pong 83-84 Hampstead High Street, North London.

French brasserie Cote, backed by Richard Caring, made an unsolicited approach for the remainder of a 25 year lease from October 2007, for a substantial undisclosed premium.

The deal will make this the 27th site for Cote, run by Andy Bassadone, and it’s 14th in the Capital. The A3 unit is an end of terrace property dating from 19th century. It comprises 3,405 sq ft spanning basement, ground, two upper and roof levels.

Brandon Elmon, at Davis Coffer Lyons, said, “Cote has been thriving this year and plans to add at least another ten to its portfolio in the next year. Hampstead is a special location and sites in the village come once a decade. Ping Pong are still expanding and were reluctant sellers following an 18 month chase, so I’m thrilled we have been able to secure this site” The operator is continuing to look for sites that can accommodate between 90 and 200 covers with footprint between 2,800sq ft and 6,000sq ft.
