Coffer Peach Business Tracker Wins Media Pioneer Award

May 25, 2012

The Coffer Peach Business Tracker has picked up a prestigious media award, named 2012 Media Pioneer at the Specialist Media Show in Birmingham this week.

The Media Pioneer Awards recognises innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among specialist media owners in both consumer and business-to-business markets.

In just three years, the Coffer Peach Business Tracker has established itself as the pub and restaurant sector’s unique sales performance barometer, quoted reqularly as the industry’s benchmark by leading companies, analysts and national media, including The Times, Daily Telegraph and Wall Street Journal. Each month Peach collects and publishes aggregated sales data from 24 leading companies, between them representing £6.1bn of annual turnover.

The judges said Tracker was ” an innovative idea that cleverly exploited the strong personal network and credibility of an experienced editor to deliver a business intelligence service that quickly established itself as a crucial source for the industry”.

Peach founder Peter Martin said: “We are delighted and proud to receive this recognition. But it wouldn’t have happened without the co-operation, support and encouragement of the industry and the people in those companies that contribute figures week-in and week-out – not to mention the support of our sponsors, UBS, KPMG and most importantly our headline sponsor David Coffer and the Coffer Group. So many thanks to all of them.”

The Tracker is now being further developed to provide even more granular data, including regional, covers and food & drink splits.
