Brewing up a Storm in Wandsworth

December 10, 2013

Emerging all-day cafe chain, Brew has taken the assignment of a new lease on the unit on Old York Road, Wandsworth – formerly occupied by The Pantry – in a deal brokered by DCL.

This letting is part of an expansion plan, which Brew is currently undertaking, building on its successful operations in Wimbledon Village and Northcote Road, Clapham. Drawing on its owner’s Australian roots, Brew provides a community focused facility with a homely and friendly atmosphere. Open throughout the day with a menu that is reviewed on a weekly basis, diners can enjoy hearty and healthy breakfasts, cakes and pastries as well as a wide selection of tasty dinners – all prepared using the freshest, seasonal ingredients.

The Pantry is planning to reopen with a larger format outlet in due course.

Rob Meadows of Davis Coffer Lyons said: “Old York Road is an incredibly desirable area for leisure operators at the moment and Brew is the ideal addition to an already strong offer. By providing an all day offer we have no doubt it will be an instant hit with the local families and young professionals alike.”

Jason Wells, owner of Brew, said: “Our first two UK outlets have been performing extremely well and we felt that now is the ideal time to start rolling the concept out to a wider audience. Our focus on providing a community facility makes this part of Wandsworth the ideal area to start that process. We are already looking into our next couple of sites and aim to have ten stores by the end of next year.”
