Honi Poké Hones in on New Site in Islington

October 15, 2019

Hawaiian poké specialist, Honi Poké has secured its fifth standalone site in London with the acquisition of a unit in Islington at 63 Upper Street, close to the Angel.

The acquisition complements Honi Poké’s portfolio, which includes sites in Soho (Dean Street), Fenchurch (New London Street), Marylebone (Margaret Street) and Hammersmith (Lillie Road). The Upper Street unit comprises 794 sq ft on ground floor, held on a new five-year sublease. The Upper Street site is adjacent to Chick ‘n’ Sours and was a sublet of surplus space.

Davis Coffer Lyons advised Chick ‘n’ Sours on the deal. Sally French, Associate Director, Davis Coffer Lyons, said: “Honi Poké are going great guns at the moment, capitalising on the growing trend for sustainable, healthy, raw food and modern flavours. Upper Street is one of Central London’s most fertile dining locations but there were currently no poke concepts trading there. Honi Poké has amassed a great following and I’m sure we will be hearing news of more acquisitions from them before the end of the year.”
