One of Londons Oldest Italian Restaurant Sold

Davis Coffer Lyons – the leisure specialists – has agreed a letting on one of Londons oldest Italian restaurants, Trattoria Lucca on Parkway in Camden. Seafood restaurant Hook has taken a new 15 year lease after the owner – 94 year old Paolo Boggi – decided it was finally time to hang up his apron.
The 1,786 sq ft restaurant has been a stalwart of the Camden dining scene for over half a century having first opening in 1958. It has hosted numerous famous names over the years including Beryl Bainbridge, Jonathan Miller and Frank Bruno who ate at the restaurant the morning before he won the WBC world heavyweight belt at Wembley Stadium.
Hook Camden is the sister restaurant to the Irish ‘Fresh Sustainable Fish & Chips Concept called ‘Bia Mara’ based in Brussels. With years of fine dining experience and a love for comfort food Chef Simon Whiteside has created his own exciting street food style interpretation of the classic British dish with influence from all over the world.
Rob Meadows of Davis Coffer Lyons, said: Trattoria Lucca was a local stalwart on the popular restaurant street of Parkway in Camden, however, the family decided that it was time to move on. Hook is a very exciting seafood concept and while its menu is very different to Trattoria Lucca, I have no doubt that it will be just as popular.
